Camping

Tresseck Campsite is on the banks of the River Wye in the picturesque village of Hoarwithy, between Ross-on-Wye and Hereford. This campsite has great facilities including showers, café and bar yet still has that ‘back to basics’ feel with open campfires and lots of flat, open space to setup camp and socialise with other campers. It is open 1st April to 30th September.
Adults: £13.50. Youth: £9.00 (10-17yrs). Children: £6.50 (2-9 yrs). Dogs: £2.00.
B&B’s
There are a couple of choices in the village, one of them is The Old Mill Tel: 01432840602. Formerly a working mill, nowadays it is a guesthouse and self-catering cottages with a warm atmosphere in the heart of the local community. They can accommodate 11 people in the guesthouse and a further 6 in the two self-catering cottages. Making it an ideal venue for parties or family get togethers. Only a short walk from the river.
Canoeists can leave their hired canoe locked up at the Tresseck Farm camp site. You will be expected to pay a landing and launch fee for your canoe if you are not camping though.
Food
The New Harp Inn Tel: 01432840900 does pub grub, for those not wishing to cater. (TIP: reserve a table) They will provide an extensive cooked breakfast if booked the night before. The New Harp is run by Belinda and Adrian Shaw. Belinda runs Front of House, whilst her husband Adrian is the Chef Landlord and is normally found in his kitchen. Having been a chef for some 20 years, Adrian is a Master craftsman with the Craft Guild of Chefs. Along with their excellent team, they assure you of a warm welcome. There is a very handy small shop attached, where you can buy provisions, including wood for your open fire.
